As a Reception Teacher, you will be responsible for providing a high-quality learning experience for young children in the early stages of their educational journey. Your main responsibilities will include:
** Planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons that cater to the developmental needs of Reception-aged pupils, with a strong focus on the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework
** Fostering an environment of curiosity and creativity, where children feel safe to explore, learn, and develop a love for learning
** Promoting key skills in communication, language, physical development, personal, social, and emotional development, literacy, and mathematics
** Providing differentiated support and resources to ensure that each child’s unique needs are met, including those who require additional support or challenge
** Creating a nurturing, positive classroom environment that encourages exploration, independent thinking, and collaborative learning
** Building strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, and regularly communicating with parents to keep them informed about their child’s progress and development
** Observing and tracking each child’s development, using this data to plan next steps and report on their progress regularly
** Collaborating with other Early Years professionals to ensure consistency in teaching and to share best practices
** Ensuring that the classroom is a safe and stimulating environment where children can grow and learn through play and structured activities
The school is open to a September or Easter start, depending on the applicant’s current working situation.
