The Role – Youth Worker

For this Youth Worker role you will be working with a small class of 9 boys aged between 11-14 years. You will be required to assist within and out of the classroom helping them with their lessons and also assisting the classroom teacher with the general management of the students behaviour when needed. The ideal Youth Worker for this role will need to have previous experience dealing with extreme challenging behaviour and restraint.

The School – Pupil Referral Unit

Found in the London borough of Bexley, this Pupil Referral Unit caters for students aged between 7-19 years with extreme challenging behaviour. Due to their behaviour all of the students who attend this school have been removed from a mainstream school. The PRUs main aim is to build their students attendance, attitude and behaviour being able to enrole them back into a mainstream school to continue their education. In their last Ofsted in 2018, they were reviewed as ‘good’ in all areas.
