Teaching Assistant – about the role:

Qualiteach are seeking an established Teaching Assistant who is able to support children in both Phonics and communication. This Primary Teaching Assistant role is ideal for any graduate with a strong background in English Language or Creative Arts.

The successful applicant must have a passion for working with early years however experience within a primary school is not essential.

This Teaching Assistant role will include supporting KS1 students in phonics 5 days per week on a long-term contract until the end of the academic year.

This larger than average primary school located in Islington are consistently improving and are particularly recognized for great relationship between the pupils and staff, this results in pupils behaving well and trying their best to achieve to their highest potential possible.

Due to many of the pupils coming from a multi-cultural background there is a particular focus on raising attainment in Maths and Literacy throughout Early Years and KS1 with a high percentage of pupils speaking English as an additional language.

There are excellent transport links as the Victoria line is just a short journey from the school.
