Special Needs Teacher

For this Special Needs Teacher role you will be required to teach a small class of 6 students with various SEN Needs aged between 11-14 years. Due to the students needs they will be functioning much lower than students of their age in a mainstream school. They will still be following the national curriculum but at a much slower pace. You will have assistance from 2 Teaching Assistants who will be there to support the students when needed with their work, as well as with personal care. The ideal Special Needs Teacher for this role must be able to teach the primary curriculum or adapt their lessons to meet the abilities of their students.

SEN School

This SEN School is bases in the borough of City of Westminster; they cater for students aged between 11-18 years with various SEN Needs. They currently have 80 students who attend and in their last Ofsted in 2018, they were reviewed as ‘OUTSTANDING’ in all areas.
