The Role – SENCO
For this SENCO role you will be required to work closely with a Pupil Referral Unit and an SEN Department within a mainstream school. You will be working with students in KS3 – KS4 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs with challenging behaviour. You will also be required to teach the national curriculum 2 days a week. The ideal SENCO will need to have previous SEN and Inclusion experience as well as being a fully qualified teacher that holds QTS and can demonstrate outstanding practice.
The School – Pupil Referral Unit
Located in the borough of Lambeth, this Pupil Referral Unit caters for students between the ages of 2-19 years that have Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. They currently have over 130 students on role and in their last Ofsted back in 2017 they were reviewed as ‘good’ in all areas.
