The Role – SEN Teacher
For this SEN Teacher role you must be a fully qualified teacher that holds QTS along with at least 2 years’ experience working in the UK teaching students with special educational needs. You will be required to teach a small class of 8 students that have Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties including those with Autism. You will be fully supported by 3 teaching assistants through the school day. The ideal SEN Teacher for this role will need to have previous experience or knowledge of teaching Pre Levels as well as Social and Life Skills.
The School – PMLD School
Found in the London Borough of Southwark, this PMLD School caters for students aged between 2-11 years with Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties including those with Autism. They currently have 90 students on role and in their last Ofsted in 2016 they were reviewed as ‘good’ in all areas.
