The Position – SEN Primary Teacher
For this SEN Primary Teacher role you will be required to deliver lessons to children in KS1 and KS2, between the ages 4 – 11 years of mixed genders. All of the students who attend this school will be on the Autistic Spectrum, due to their needs the ideal SEN Primary Teacher will need previous experience with challenging behaviour as there could be times when they do have an outburst and this will need to be controlled in a safe manor. You must also have experience teaching the UK primary curriculum as well as the ability to differentiate your lessons as the ability levels in the class vary.
The SEN School
Based in the borough of Sutton, this SEN School is a short walk from an overground station and does offer onsite parking, making it easy to commute to. They currently have 80 students who attend and all students at the school have an EHCP. There main aim is to provide high quality education to all of their students by working closely with parents, therapists and medical professionals. Due to all of their hard work and constant support, back in December 2018 Ofsted awarded them ‘Good’ in all areas.
