The Role- SEN HLTA
We are looking for as strong SEN HLTA to join a Pupil Referral Unit in Newham. You’ll be working across KS3-KS5 carrying a range of responsibilities such as delivering lessons, recording pupil’s progress and also planning out some lessons. The successful SEN HLTA will need to have strong behaviour management or ideally be team teach trained as you’ll be working with extreme challenging behaviour. You’ll be working with a class of 8-9 students at any given time or on a 1:1 basis with students between the ages of 13-17. The ideal SEN HLTA will need to be resilient, firm but fair and have a strong background with behaviour challenges.
The School-Pupil Referral Unit
This Pupil Referral Unit based in Newham currently cater for 11-18-year olds with extreme behaviour challenges. They have 56 students across the school and have a variety of workshops and facilities that aid each child to find their passion and reach their full potential. They aim to incorporate their pupils back into a mainstream school to get them back on track with the national curriculum.
