The Role – SEMH Teaching Assistant
For this SEMH Teaching Assistant role you will be required to work within a small class of 10 students aged between 14-16 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. You will be assisting them with their Maths, English and Science as well as in some other lessons. Although you will be mainly supporting them in the classroom, there may be some students who will want to have a chat during morning and lunch time break to help them with their Mental Health. The ideal SEMH Teaching Assistant for this role must have strong behaviour management and also have worked in a similar setting.

Found in the borough of Merton, this SEMH School caters for students aged between 7-18 years with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. They currently have 97 students on role and in their last Ofsted in 2019, they were reviewed as ‘good’ in all areas.
