The Role – SEMH Support Worker
For this SEMH Support Worker role you will be required to work with 12 students in KS1 and KS2 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. You will need to assistant the students within and without the classroom with their day to day lessons, this could be basic Maths, English and Science in the class and outdoor activities like PE and play breaks. The students’ needs can differ for example eating disorders, depression, anxiety and ADHD. Therefore the ideal SEMH Support Worker will need to have had previous experience supporting someone with Mental Health.
The School – SEMH School
This SEMH School is located in the London borough of Wandsworth and caters for students aged between 5-16 years. They currently have 142 students on role who all have some form of Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs. Their last Ofsted was back in 2017 where they were reviewed as ‘outstanding’ in all areas.
