About the role – Science teacher
I am working with this secondary school based in Newham who are looking for a Science teacher on a full time, permanent basis. The school is based just a short distance from Upton Park Tube station, easily accessible via the District and Hammersmith & City line. The school are looking for an individual who can settle quickly and hit the ground running teaching GCSE Science across all topics and their specialism at A-Level. The school are keen on an individual who they can support and develop to their style of teaching but are keen to add value to their Science department through shared planning.
About the school – Science teacher
This oversubscribed, good mainstream secondary school based in the heart of Newham cater to students between the ages 11 and 16 with a SLCN and ASD unit in place to support students with SEN needs. The school have a reputation for looking after staff where a number of schemes in place to support a better work life balance, the school support each member of staff with a lower than average teaching loads where each teacher is treated as a specialist therefore isn’t required to teach cover lessons outside of their subject specialisms. Each teacher is given efficient time to do their job properly including co-planning sessions throughout the week to make planning and marking more time efficient allowing teacher to focus on other aspects on teaching and learning.
