About the role – Science teacher

I am currently working with this secondary school based in Newham who are looking for a science teacher to start with them immediately as they return back this September. The school are looking for a passionate individual with strong subject knowledge and an understanding of mild SEN needs. The successful science teacher will be responsible for teaching science across key stages three and four of their subject specialism (Biology/Chemistry/Physics).

This oversubscribed mainstream secondary school based in Newham cater to students between the ages 11 and 16, with a SLCN and ASD unit in place to support students with SEN needs. The school have a reputation for looking after staff, a number of schemes are in place to support better work life balance. The school support each member of staff with lower than average teaching loads where each teacher is treated as a specialist. Each teacher is given efficient time to do their job properly, including co-planning sessions throughout the week to make planning and marking more time efficient allowing each teacher to focus on other aspects of teaching and learning.
