The Role-PRU Teacher
We are looking for an enthusiastic PRU Teacher for a Pupil Referral Unit based in Newham. You’ll need to deliver strong lessons to small classes of 6-7 students and you will also have the support of 4-6 teaching assistants to help keep the students engaged and manage behaviour during the lesson. As a PRU Teacher you must be resilient, creative and enthusiastic and have the determination to steer students in the right direction of life.
The School-Pupil Referral Unit
This PRU caters for 11-18-year old’s that have been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream school and most have behavioural difficulties. The PRU aims to provide a strong structure and education to pupils while helping to re-integrate back into school and improving social skills. Most students that attend the PRU aim to be transitioned back into mainstream school, however some students will be there for longer periods of time.
