HLTA – The role:
The school are seeking to employ an experienced HLTA to join them in September and work within its Music and PE departments. They are looking for a flexible, dynamic and dedicated individual with experience, or an interest, in working with pupils with Special Educational Needs. The idea candidate will have prior experience working with SEN students in PE and Music classes. The successful candidates will have a varied role, which involves supporting the teacher in all aspects to ensure that pupils receive the most effective support. You will be able to demonstrate a practical, hands on approach to supporting teaching and be prepared to go above and beyond.
HLTA – The school:
This is a mixed primary school based in the London borough of Barking and Dagenham and caters to 700 students aged 3 – 11. This is a popular and fast growing three form entry school for children who have Social, Emotional and Mental Health complexities. In its most recent Ofsted inspection, the school received a ‘Good’ rating and is praised on being highly inclusive. The school have an additional resource provision for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD) who are placed within this unit by the local authority through a referral process.
