The Role-Outreach Support Worker
We are looking for a strong Outreach Support Worker to work with pupils with challenging behaviour and special needs. The successful Outreach Support Worker will be working with a group of 4 students between the ages of 12-16 within an alternative provision. Your main aim is to support and engage them with the aim of reintegrating them back into the PRU. You will need to have strong behaviour strategies, very patient and ideally creative.
The School- Pupil Referral Unit
This Pupil Referral Unit based in Newham area has an exciting future ahead. Currently catering for Key Stage 3 and 4 pupils who have been or who are at risk of being excluded from school, they also provide education for pupils who are from out of area and cannot find a school place, Looked After Children and other vulnerable and hard-to-place pupils. There are exciting plans for development making them a leading provider of alternative education.
