Learning Support Assistant – The role:
The school are seeking to employ an experienced or aspiring learning support assistant to join them this upcoming academic year. You must be a charismatic and confident individual who has a keen interest in education and the well being of vulnerable young people. You will be working with children with challenging behaviour and you will need good team working skills and previous experience of working with young people with additional needs. You will need to demonstrate patience and behaviour management strategies. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be guiding and instructing students in the work that has been left by the department or class teacher either in groups or 1:1.
Learning Support Assistant – The school:
This is an all-boys pupil referral unit based in the London borough of Lambeth and caters to 100 pupils aged 5 – 19 pride themselves on providing a safe and caring atmosphere for students. The school is a specialist support service for young people that supports their learning and provides programmes for them to achieve both academically and socially. The school aims to provide all members of the school community with a safe and secure environment to grow where they have the right to flourish as independent young men.
