Learning Support Assistant – The role:
The school are currently seeking a nurturing and experienced teaching assistant to join them in September 2019 and work closely with its students who have been excluded from mainstream education. You will be working with children with challenging behaviour and you will need good team working skills and previous experience of working with young people with additional needs. You will be required to demonstrate positive behaviour, have a calm and understanding approach and have patience when supporting the children. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be guiding and instructing students in the work that has been left by the department or class teacher.
Learning Support Assistant – The school:
This is a mixed pupil referral unity based in the London borough of Newham cater to 60 pupils aged 14 – 16 pride themselves on providing a safe and caring atmosphere for students. This is a Key Stage 4 PRU and caters to students who are at risk of permanent exclusion or may have been permanently excluded from mainstream school. The school aims to support their students and ensure they progress into further education and training so they can be successful in the world of work. The staff at this school work closely with its students to understand and meet their individual needs.
