The Role – KS2 Teaching Assistant
For this KS2 Teaching Assistant role you will be required to work with young boys aged between 7-11 years assisting them within the classroom with their Maths, English and Science, you will also need to support them in some of their vocational lessons encouraging them to get involved and give them the confidence to believe in themselves. The ideal candidate for this KS2 Teaching Assistant role will need to be hands on, positive, supportive and needs to have had previous experience working with challenging behaviour, this doesn’t not need to have been in a classroom setting.
The School – PRU
This PRU is found in the London borough of Bromley and caters for students aged between 7-18 years. They currently have over 100 students who attend this PRU who have been removed from a mainstream school due to their challenging behaviour and Social, Emotional and Mental health needs. The schools main aim is to improve their student’s behaviour and views on school life and education with a long term view to transition them back into mainstream education. In their last Ofsted, they were reviewed as ‘good’ in all areas.
