About the role – English teacher
I am currently working with this secondary school based in east London who are looking for an English teacher to support learning of English literature and language to A-Level including topics including Macbeth. The successful English teacher will be required to cater to mixed range of needs and abilities to support development of subject knowledge and academic progression, each student has homework set weekly to ensure they are up to date with their studies and reading. The aim of the successful English teacher is to develop students’ opinions on writers’ styles and to develop a style of their own. Each class has set group and independent reading sessions where the head of department also allows for students to compare versions of the texts, they have studied through film sessions.
