About the role – Design technology teacher
I am currently working alongside this mainstream secondary school based in Newham who are looking for a QTS or QTLS trained design technology teacher to join them this September. The successful candidate will be responsible for students studying GCSE AQA Design & Technology teaching electronics, graphics and resistant materials. Throughout key stage three students will study one lesson a week throughout years 7, 8 & 9.

This oversubscribed mainstream secondary school based in Newham cater to students between the ages 11 and 16, with a SLCN and ASD unit in place to support students with SEN needs. The school have a reputation for looking after staff, a number of schemes are in place to support better work life balance. The school support each member of staff with lower than average teaching loads where each teacher is treated as a specialist. Each teacher is given efficient time to do their job properly, including co-planning sessions throughout the week to make planning and marking more time efficient allowing each teacher to focus on other aspects of teaching and learning.
