About the role Design Technology teacher

I am working with this secondary school based in Lewisham who are looking for a Design Technology teacher for an immediate start on a full time basis. The school is based just a short distance from Sydenham station. The school are looking for an individual who can settle quickly and hit the ground running straight away teaching GCSE Computer Science across all topics and their specialism at A-Level. The school are keen on an individual who they can support and develop to their style of teaching but are keen to add value to their Design Technology department through shared planning.

This oversubscribed, good mainstream secondary school based in the heart of Lewisham cater to students between the ages 11 and 18.The school have a reputation for looking after staff where a number of schemes in place to support a better work life balance, the school support each member of staff with a lower than average teaching load where each teacher is treated as a specialist therefore isn’t required to teach cover lessons outside of their subject specialisms. Each teacher is given efficient time to do their job properly including co-planning sessions throughout the week to make planning and marking more time efficient allowing teacher to focus on other aspects on teaching and learning.
