The School – Complex Needs Teacher
Based in the South East of London, specifically in Lewisham, this SEN School caters for students with a wide range of complex needs that are aged between 4-16 years. The School is located rather close to local tube stations and is easily accessible from a range of bus routes making it easy to get to from surrounding areas. In their last Ofsted the School were reviewed as ‘Outstanding’ in all areas and have only continued to progress.
The Role – Complex Needs Teacher
In this Complex Needs Teacher position you will be required to either teach students in KS1 or KS2. These students are working on Pre Levels and there are around 6-10 students each class, the needs and levels of ability in each class can vary. You will be supported by a minimum of 2 additional TAs that will support you in the classroom as well as keeping the students engaged throughout the day. As a Complex Needs Teacher, you must have strong interpersonal and communication skills, strong behaviour and classroom management and preferably have experience teaching in an SEN based environment.
