The Role – Behaviour Mentor
For this Behaviour Mentor role, you must have previous experience supporting children with challenging behaviour, such as SEMH and ADHD, this does not necessarily need to be in a school setting. You will be required to work in a small class of 8 students in KS4, they are of a mixed ability group. Due to the students behaviour there may be times when you will need to intervene between two children if there is physical contact, as the students safety is always our first priory.
Found in Richmond upon Thames, this PRU caters for students 11-16 years that have been removed from a mainstream school due to exclusion or illness. These students will be following most of the national curriculum so they are able to build their knowledge and confidence to eventually be let back into a mainstream school or further education.
