Would you be interested in working as a Behaviour Mentor in a classroom setting?
If you answered yes to the above, then this Behaviour Mentor role is for you!
As a Behaviour Mentor you will be required to provide support to pupils in small groups of 6 who have been removed from their mainstream school due to their challenging behaviour. A big part of your role as a Behaviour Mentor will be to assist and advice students so you will need to be understanding and be able to build a strong rapport with all students. The successful Behaviour Mentor will need to have had previous experience in a similar setting and ideally be Team Teach trained.
Pupil Referral Unit
Based in Merton, this Pupil Referral Unit currently has an Ofsted rating of ‘good’. They cater for students aged between 7-18 years who have been removed from a mainstream school due to their challenging behaviour. They currently have 110 students on role and their main aim is to support and guide their students in the right direction, so they can transition back into mainstream education.
