Or maybe you are a current middle leader looking for a step up in your career?

Whatever your situation, if you answered yes to the above questions then this Assistant Head Teacher role is for you!

The Role – Assistant Head Teacher

This assistant head teacher role is ideal for a middle leader that is looking to take a step up in their career. Preferably, you will have previous experience in a similar type of school or in a rather challenging mainstream school. For this assistant head teacher role, you will be required to drive teaching and learning through KS2 and will also be required to teach classes of around 6-8 students with behavioural difficulties including SEMH, ADHD, ADD and more.

The classes will be of mixed age groups within KS2, therefore the ability levels of the students will vary and so you must be an outstanding teacher that has the ability to tailor your lessons to your students as well as differentiate to keep lessons fun and to ensure students are engaged and participating. This is not only in your classroom but also throughout the school.

The School

Found in the beautiful outer London Borough of Bromley, this SEMH school caters for students that have social emotional and mental health needs and all students that attend the school have an EHCP. You will be joining a rather large, strong and well developed team that put the students first at every and any stage. Not only can this SEMH school offer a range of CPD, they can also offer career progression opportunities to staff at all levels as they are only expanding and improving year on year!
