Are you a 1:1 Youth Mentor looking to start a new role in September in the borough of Bromley?

Do you have previous experience working with children or adults with extreme challenging behaviour?

Have you been physical intervention trained and hold Team Teach or the equivalent?

If you answered yes to the above, then this 1:1 Youth Mentor role is for you!

The Role – 1:1 Youth Mentor

For this 1:1 Youth Mentor role you will be required to support a KS3 boy 1:1 within the classroom with general subjects for example Maths, English Science and possibly some vocational lessons. The child you will be working with will have been removed from a mainstream school due to their behaviour and has be diagnosed with mild Autism. Therefore, the ideal 1:1 Youth Mentor will need to have previous experience with challenging behaviour, this doesn’t necessarily need to be in a school setting.

The School – Pupil Referral Unit

Found in borough of Bromley, this PRU caters for pupils aged between 7-18 years that have been temporarily or permanently excluded from mainstream education. Their main intention is to develop pupils’ behaviour, attitude and attendance so they are able to continue their education back in a mainstream school. Due to their consistent support in their last Ofsted, they were reviewed as ‘good’ in all areas.
