Could you be interested in a role in which you will be responsible for providing 1:1 support to a pupil in reception?

Learning Mentor – about the role:
The successful learning mentor will have experience as a teaching assistant within a mainstream primary school. You will be working with a particular pupil on a 1:1 basis supporting them with their behaviour and helping them with literacy and numeracy. This is a full-time position until the end of the academic year with the view of going permanent in July subject to a performance review. Experience supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis is essential. You will be required to provide feedback and progression reports to the SLT and the pupils parents. The child is in a year 4 class and will be moving into a year 5 class after the summer break, it is crucial that progress is made so the child’s is accepted into the best secondary school possible.
Learning Mentor – about the school:
The school is a two-form entry catholic primary located in the London Borough of Hackney that caters to pupils between the ages of 3 -11 from a mixed multicultural background. Staff in the school are extremely warming and very supportive. Qualiteach currently have a few members of staff working within the school who have heaped praise on their experience since starting. Pupils generally behave well and show positive attitudes to learning.
